Deeply concern with my SE visibility.. dying to find answers and help if possible..?

though haven't blogged/updated website (www.writeffects.com) consistently lately, have been optimizing website enough possible se visibility more year now. bit busy couple of months due other important things (personal) needs attention that's why haven't had time focus on optimizing (off-page optimization specifically) website...
concern, because competitors, think, have powerful secret in keeping stability in search engine spots. well, sure, 1 possible reason because have $$$ pay seo services, pay paid listing, outsource other seo tasks.. guess?

now, wanted know if you've experienced kind of situation when first started website? have done made website visible ses now? well, aside spending $$$, have suggestions except of course, hiring new people me out? there free seo service can me out optimization? or better yet, cheaper/affordable rates seo service guarantees better ranking , search engine visibility? wanted increase sales, guess wishes same..
