Subaru Legacy driving on blown motor?

sister , share car. 1998 subaru legacy gt 2.5. 6 days ago rods started knocking in , sister stuck on side of road. cooled down , started again. runs fine until gets hot. guess radiator has gone bad causing on heat. took @ , radiator isnt rusted or , im thinking there might kind of blockage in hoses or something. holds pressure fine , resevuar full. how long can drive before completly dies on me? need car , fix asap. need work money. me out. thanks
