How do you get a Mercedes Benz ml320 out of park?

has brake-shifter interlock. have press foot on brake take out of park.
if not work, problem either faulty brake switch (sits @ top of brake pedal under dash) or faulty gear recognition switch. '99, switch can replaced separately '00 model year, integrated gear selector assembly.
brake switch not expensive part. if want save money, can buy 1 , replace see if works. if not work, problem gear recognition switch more difficult replace. if case, need tow truck dealer or trusted shop proper diagnosis , repair.

my friend has mb ml320 , can turn car on gears wont shift. how can fix it? *give details, girls(:
