there 2 ways go trying figure out.

1 find out if lot of other people having same problem. if so, maybe factory has issued technical service bulletin it, telling how fix problem. or might try posting question pontiac related forum, other owners talk such things.

either way, if people knew engine car has, may happening grand am's 1 engine not other, , makes easier things way. other wise, it's twice work, because there 2 different engines available in car. 2.4l 4-cylinder, or 3.4l 6-cylinder (v6).

i'd suggest re-post question here engine size included in info, , maybe change headline "crankshaft position sensor keeps going out" might too. post year, make, model , engine size in body of question.

make sure read "new members" thread, , maybe search of threads "crankshaft sensor" or "ckp" (crankshaft position) before ask. answer may there. post question, you'll need register. it's forum. i'm member myself.

otherwise, best way find out why keep going out find out why going out individually. problem wires getting broken? rubbing against rotating part reading from? chances whatever caused current 1 go bad why went bad. figure out, , solution can figured out there.

why crankshaft position sensor keep going out. have replace them every 3 months
