How do I change my printer's status to online?

have epson workforce 610 all-in-one printer. computer mac (os x version 10.6.4). not using printer wirelessly. have tried printing several things , nothing works. when open print queue, says printer offline. seems problem.

have tried restarting computer, replugging in usb cord, , unplugging , replugging printer power cord. nothing has worked.

can use printer make copies, not print.
