Is it too late for me to get a job in Equity Research, Investment Banking, or Private Equity?

hi,

i'm in 30s. worked in office (fund administration), 2 years, accounting jobs (mainly a/r, a/p related positions).

went school 2 years ago pursure mba, , have graduated (not top tier school mind you, have graduated gpa of above 3.5). school went good, not amazing wharton, chicago, etc). passed first 2 levels of cfa , completed wall street prep certificate, , advanced in bloomberg. basically, know stuff inside out, , @ financial modelling , have advanced excel skills. despite these skills, still not able er/ib job.

has been hard crack field recently, , i'm running out of time (at least thats how feel). think late me, , should switch fields not in equity research? i'm in 30s, , getting feeling companies may not want hire @ age, no prior equity research experience. there strategies use break field?

appreciate answers experience professionals in field, particularly recruiters know ins , outs of kind of profile these companies looking for.
