Marrying for insurance benefits?

have been dating boyfriend 5 years. have lived 3 years. plan on getting married someday, there no question that.

boyfriend has been declined insurance because of preexisting conditions. thinking applying state plan in ct, i'm sure expensive.

have insurance through employer , thinking getting marriage license without telling (friends or family) can provide him insurance, , then, on our own time, become engaged , plan wedding ceremony friends , family.

questions is, illegal marry purpose of claiming him dependent on insurance? also, can dependents declined?

(and please don't feed me lines how marriage love , and not insurance. love each other , plan on married anyway. don't want him without insurance next 2 years. doesn't idea of immediate marriage license thing because wants "right way", think may best him)
