brother has phone upgrade on verizon wireless in week. ill giving him phone put on account , using upgrade account. purchase of phone @ best buy mobile because much cheaper.

ive been told best buy cannot insurance nor verizon stores allow put insurance on phone if hasnt been directly purchased through them. question if phone best buy mobile , bring on verizon store put on account, can add insurance?
