Titanic (movie) vs History?
problem movie focuses on jack , rose, leaves out lot of history should've been said, pretty accurate, physically in how ship looks, historical right too.
minor things:
when captain smith , 2nd officer lightoller talking on bridge on night of accident, in real life smith told lightoller if had slightest doubt wake him , should have slow down, , gave special warning lookouts keep eye out ice, didn't straight ignore situation
andrews says "she's made of iron sir, assure can, , will" in talking ship sinking. titanic made out of steel, ships in 1912.
also, despite poster above says, iceberg in fact towering icebergs are. 11:40 when ship hit it, numerous passengers still awake , saw it(as did fredrick fleet, lookout saw , survived) , testified fact pretty huge. why wasn't seen there no moon(reflection) said in movie, sea unusually calm(no breaking waves on iceberg see) , binoculars lookouts had been missing since southampton
, ship did not continue on it's way, right after collision murdoch ordered ship @ half ahead, smith came right onto bridge , ordered stop. 6th officer moody when down right after accident e deck , saw no damage, 10 minutes later ships carpenter came bridge , said water filling mail hold among others. within 20 minutes andrews had gone down , looked @ damage , knew ship going sink.
angle titanic @ when broke in 1/2 not dramatic seems in movie.
of minor things in fact true.
-lifeboat 15 lowered right on top of 13
-the officers did have fire guns panic begin set in
-the woman gets knocked off deck quasi true, movie doesn't show deck did have lean on it, @ 1 point got bad port side boats near 6ft away edge of deck. in real life woman made jump boat, missed, in boat grabbed ankle, on deck grabbed arm, pulled onto ship, made try again , made 2nd time.
-when captain says find carpenter, him sound ship. when happened in real life, officer murdoch found carpenter outside bridge, had been on way water pouring lower decks.
-the excess steam being blown did in fact happened , caused thunder loud near 1/2 hour had scream heard
-it true on starboard side murdoch went "women , children first" while on port side lightoller went "women , children only"
-when first boat being lowered murdoch when begins become uneven, did in fact happen, crew not trained in lowering boats.
-one boat did in fact leave ship 12 people.(out of 45 seats)
-when rose on last boat being lowered, shows rocket going off, minor inaccuracy, last rocket had been fired 25min beforehand.
question is there specific you'd know?
how did titanic (movie) differ happened in history??
