Pontiac Trans Sport-Intake manifold gasket leak- how much should I pay?

'98 pontiac trans sport has been leaking coolant few months. have been topping in overflow reservoir. did not have money repairs until now.

took mechanic(non-dealer) , said needed replace intake manifold gasket. $770.00 estimate.

reasonable?

else should sure ask mechanic?

implications have on longevity of rest of vehicle?
