How much do I tip the person who tattoos me?

there no rules when getting tattooed have tip. tattoo artist don't expect tips because know people saved lot of money tattoo have wanted awhile don't feel obligated tip. when tattoos done tip $20 per 2 hour session. artist 2 hour session going cost me $200 give him $220 , happy that. shows appreciate artwork , love way looks. true tattoo artist not waitress because make minimum wage else said , rely on tips making paycheck tattoo artist make enough money on doing tattoos alone , don't rely on tips. that's why tattoos expensive because have pay own supplies, needles, percentage of money goes shop owner , spot in tattoo shop in order make money tattoo artist charge between $100-$150 hour. don't have tip 15-20% because 20% on $300 tattoo $60 , lot of money on top of $300 tattoo don't listen people compare waitress tattoo artist because comparing apples oranges, 2 different professions.
