Whats the difference between an imax theater and a 3d theater.?

difference? 10 bucks ticket! though, true imax uses different film give huge size , quality. size may cause of nausea on own, if sit close. 3d can too. felt little bit when saw avatar (3d, not imax). neat 3d was, when worked, overall think i'd have rather seen in 2d (because 3d didn't work right , lot of things seemed blurry sometimes).

if try 3d, make sure sit close center of theater can, , high up. want square screen possible minimize distortion. put glasses on when there , don't take them off until finished. importantly, make sure friend understands if can't take it, have go. if leave enough (like first couple of minutes) , explain situation customer service, theater should either give refund or offer ticket 2d movie.

the reason i'm asking because wants take me 3d movie theater , wondering if imax theaters. every time watch movie in max theater nauseous.
