What kind of car is best for an 80 mile a day commute?

student , commute school 80 miles (40 there , 40 back) highway though. i'm looking buying car not sure brand at.

local dealership has 2001 toyota corolla 131,000 miles on feel 80 miles day getting car higher in mileage bad.

nissans and/or hondas.

suggestions?
