Relocating to san diego from ny?

i'm 26 year old female got accepted grad school in san diego (argosy). moving out area central new york fiance after married next september. looking 1-2 bedroom apt (or large loft) in safe area. doesn't have in city long wouldn't killer commute , had pretty easy access city life (ie. entertainment/restaurants/etc). works poker dealer , (hopefully) securing job before move out. (any casinos out there you'd recommend apply to?) i've never been south of la , he's never been out of ny new experience both of us. areas or towns recommend , how should expecting pay. we're looking clean, newer or kept, laundry facilities, newer appliances, , someplace allow bring 12 year-old cat. or suggestions appreciated!
