Help, I lost my financial aid. Are my reasons valid?

lost financial aid 10-11 school year. may able need write appeal letter. gpa fine lost financial aid eligibility due lack of units (i didn't pass enough classes/get enough points)
have write appeal , explain them why have not passed classes. i'm scared reasons won't believable, though. thing family's health has been bad , has affected me. during end of freshman year, father diagnosed cancer had surgery in order remove it. @ start of sophomore year, mother diagnosed tumor in uterus , had surgery remove whole reproductive system. recently, younger sister (who has hydrocephalus , special education classes) has had series of convulsions , spent 17 days in , out of hospital during month of july.

guess question is, above paragraph comprehendible?
haven’t finished letter of appeal yet, can me proof read letter? parents not know english , i’m embarrassed let of friends read it.
