Can i put a larger/stronger engine into my subaru?

have subaru impreza outback sport, 5-speed manual transmission. it's 4 cylinder engine, 2.2 liter. it's not strong want be. wondering if possible put v6 in instead?? need new transmission well, or included doing it?? wondering cost me this, engine doesnt need new.
