What are Toyota RAV4's like to drive and keep?

bought 1 in 1999, , drove cross country full of cats. great little "wanna be" truck, mileage, responsive, (back seats little cramped adult legs) , have had no major repairs in last 11 years. belongs ex bought me 5 years ago. if not great on ice (but is) , wind has tendency noticeably push it.
not fond of more rounded larger toyota came out with, looked @ 1 before bought 2009 scion big tastes/needs.

question in title really.

im 24 , promised buy myself toyota rav4 when turn 25. love them.

in general though; comfy, practical, reliable??? hear thoughts.
