Has anyone commuted from Slough to Brighton or Falmer by car? just wondering if it would be really expensive.?

journey 140 miles round trip. assuming have car 30mpg 5 gallons (23 litres) petrol. current price £1.18 per litre £27 per day on fuel. if have car @ least part way there. don't forget add on chunk items servicing costs, tyres, oil etc. weekly costs on £130 , putting 700 miles on clock too. cars require servicing every 10-20,000 miles. you'll hit lower figure after 15 weeks. can quite punishing small car. might worth seeing if can move closer brighton.
