Computer/Printer question?

depends if have network set @ home. need router, wireless preferably, cat5e cable computer, printer cable printer, , optional cat5e laptop if decided go without wireless router.

chances on windows, , xp/vista/7 things little differently, should idea enough figure out.

1. install printer onto main computer
2. install network, means plug in router, plug cat5 computer router.
3. open printers. vista/7 allow live search hitting windows button , typing printers. xp located under printers , scanners, under control panel.
4. once can see installed printer, right click on it. either there sharing link, printing preferences, or printing properties link. dig around wee little bit tab refers "sharing". make sure printer enabled share on network. there may notification saying need enable printer sharing, yes or next or whatever says ensure enabled.
5. either connect laptop wirelessly, or plug cat5 router.
6. part tricky. printer's software cd, , install onto laptop. ask connect printer, , @ part, can cancel out. has installed appropriate drivers it's okay if other software doesn't on.
7. go printers section on laptop, , button says "add printer"
8. load wizard, , keep out adding printer on home or shared network. if works out according plan, though never seems to, should see printer's name attached main computer.
9. should matter of selecting printer, clicking next few times, maybe once, , printing test page. if worked out, should see printer across room warmed up, , job.

additional notes: if have vista, either downgrade or upgrade xp or 7. i'm not being bias, being truthful. vista has network problems, , should burn in hell. vista may not show printer, though on every other computer can see shared printer.
