Why does the social service break families apart instead of helping them sort their problems out?

married husband barely 6months when had bit of problem @ point because financial issues, result of social service became involved because pregnant @ time, taken women's refuge , later relocated , came , fine until 1 of social service people came , started asking questions, out of frustration replied them badly decided stop him seeing , whole situation got out of hand threatened social service take daughter away me if see together, know has problems after joining army, he's never been whole self , has been misunderstood alot because cannot manage anger deep down in him there's great person hidden inside, cried heart out seeing had throw love out of house no go because have abey social service, pushed me divorce. ever since cannot stop thinking him , has happened us, realy love him cos changed life alot, stop talking him on year started talking again , willing change, realy want family him social service refusing this, can do, need him in life, it's not easy raising baby alone, pls advice me cos im thinking of moving now, can't take anymore!

Air Canada - how normal is this?

i'm in 20's , outraged @ moment, maybe i'm being naive, please me out. here situation: booked trip las vegas months ago air canada , paid $314.32 on credit card return flight. cancelled week later , told can't refund anything, amount "credit". call few days ago book 1 way ticket halifax. i'm told charged $105 "change fees" ($50 each way) cancelling/re-booking flight. notice not deducted $314.32 paid, charged on top of that, have $419.32 on credit card. $105 obvious cash grab , sort of penalty, put aside. issue flight halifax cost $202 including taxes. if deduct $202 $314.32, leaves $112.32 unaccounted for. make sense far? because when on phone air canada asking them confirm this, couldn't. agent kept repeating fares , taxes different blah blah, wouldn't tell me what, if have left on "credit". kept asking him explain, rude , said did. i'm wondering: 1. airlines charges these stupid "change fees"
