How to add network printer (TCP/IP) ?

happens when try , add it?? since without telling errors etc.. impossible give answer. eg printer have router, have enabled sharing on printer etc..
printer attached router wired/wireless attached pc using usb.

how can add network printer in different lan (different ip) ??
know how not working. probaply using wrong ip address.
