What is wrong with my car audio amp?

while ago shorted out amp between sub inputs (where hook speaker wire amp subs) , ever since amp play music quiet, , power light dims way, when bass hits bit harder. when no music playin power light shine bright sopose to. when play music light dims , subs play music dont pound @ all. amp pyle 3000 watt 2 channel. pla- 2230 chopper series. please body tell me how can fix this. right channel work @ all. dont need right channel though want amp bump again. help!
