Printer ink is evaporating?

have dell v313w printer , pretty sure ink evaporating. have replace black ink cartridge once every week , half. opened printer lid , had black stains everywhere on inside. don't use printer enough need replacing black ink often. isn't defective cartridge, has been happening since bought printer dell month ago. ideas?
