Newly painted walls are peeling?

painted daughters room 2 different colors, husband used yellowish color tape (not sure called, masking tape? not know:( separate 2 areas, needless spent 2 days painting room, never pulling tape off until done painting, left white stripe around entire room/in middle of 2 colors, wanted , looks great....all except.....when gently pulled tape off wall, paint started coming off tape if paint had glued tape wall....now in areas paint peels off facial mask.....
dont know do, have tried prime , repaint areas paint peeling outline of paint has peeled shows through paint anyways
thought mudding on small areas sanding, priming , painting awful lot of work, there else can try?
suggestions appreciated
