How can I make my 2007 Toyota Corolla CE look better?

parents gave me grey-ish 2007 toyota corolla ce , wondering if had idea how mod , make nicer? eg sound system, lights, deck, etc. i'm trying not spend money on it, if has ideas can done along company names know when go buy stuff. thinking putting in bright white/blue lights (not sure called - if can me that? , new sound system (sub/amp/speakers) , new deck (contemplating whether built in gps in deck or portable one?). suggestions helpful, all.
