Boat on a tropic island?

branches , rope cant make waterproof boat.

can make raft. possibly make raft lets , out of water.
waterproof wooden vessel takes more rope , wood. @ least need tar too.

tar, rope , wood shape wood fits tightly, soak rope in tar , use between wood.
if supplies enough , ability enough , know design, nothing stop building authentic 1700's ship.

if got stranded on tropical island , needed make boat go fishing in out of palm trees , rope how make water proof boat fish off of
