Proof of insurance issue (Houston)?

received ticket while visiting in houston not having valid tx license , traffic violation. ticket costs on $300, take driving class lower cost , avoid points penalty. driving friend's car when got pulled over. has insurance car , me, since driving, got ticket. not insurance policy , need send in defensive driving course request proof of insurance. okay send insurance of car? please help.
