Resonator and U-Bend delete or Muffler delete?

replace muffler new performance muffler..... other nonsense expensive , may cause maintenance problems..... leave catalytic converter , factory piping intact.... change muffler only.....

i have 1997 pontiac grand prix gtp. has 3800 supercharged v6. wondering 1 sound better. nice deep idle , overall louder exhaust dont want overly loud.
