Why is a message appearing which states door is open while printing with canon pixma ip8500 printer?

guess printer's door switch loose or has bad connection.

printer still in warranty? if so, don't open , try fix it. contact canon , send off repair.

if it's out of warranty, sure remove case gently. don't want make shaky situation bad one. hopefully, you'll able determine , fix problem.
