Why does the USA & Canada invite so many international students?

please not turn racist discussion. i'm indian myself, born in india, raised in canada ever since baby. i'm canadian joe bloe next door (except hate hockey. basketball ;) anyway, i've noticed huge surge in international students @ university (ubc). it's same across country, , it's been same in usa.
realize how easy these students have compared local students? i'm full-time student them, work full-time, unlike them ... money parents home. have pay tuition, rent, phone, car insurance...they have easy, kickin' in dorm. come here in huge numbers, earn bachelors degree , flood market degree point becomes useless. when graduate, job here - in other words, take our jobs. our fathers, grandfathers, greatgrandfathers have worked hard paid taxes build country. yet come here , take everything. irritates me sometimes. can done given preference locals?
