Do you sneak food into a movie theater?

fiance , won free tickets shrek on radio (woot). anyway, going tomorrow night. suggested him can take candy , soda b/c low on cash right now. told me doesn't want b/c afraid kicked out of movie b/c have people on "patrol" trying catch "illegally" bring food movie theater. said bringing food in, stealing profits them.

told him nuts , people of time. told me acting 12 year old b/c wanted take food in (when wanted save money b/c well...we don't have any.)

so, "adults" out there, ever sneak food movie theater? have gotten caught, , stealing? (i don't think is, wanted hear else's opinion)
