Where are the safe and nice places to live in NYC, near Metro North Harlem line?

i'm looking place(s) live in city closer metro north harlem line since have commute westchester.

if want live in city, assume, should live closer grand central station or harlem 125th. i'm looking nice, safe place in reasonable location (at point, price doesn't matter, i'm trying gather information possible). , first time living in ny. have suggestions should into?

in previous question, asked if bronx (riverdale) suitable place didn't sound attractive. , suggested me pelham....

also, there online sites should use in order find apartments in ny?
