love "attacking faulty reasoning" edward damer - there's 6th edition out, (i don't know 7th). straightforward, lists acceptable arguments , fallacies, book more of form of logic though. read aristotle - father of logic...http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/aristotle-logic/

honestly, though, don't need buy book, there's many good, reliable resources philosophy of logic on internet.
