Help- need advice with car buying decision?

i'm having trouble making decision on new car. i've narrowed down two:

2006 toyota 4runner v6 limited
52000 miles on

$26000

or

2007 subaru legacy 2.5 gt limited
54000 miles
$21000

know these both wonderful cars , reason i'm leaning toward 4runner because it's bit roomier. although gas , else going bite. have 2 small kids , drive a4 right now, far, we've fared pretty little car. please me decide. want best of worlds - car that's going run forever without astronomical repair bills - safety -fuel economy etc. do?
