Monitor display problem?

@ higher resolutions, icons , else smaller. can change of in appearance settings (and other places), make them bigger again. if wanting run @ 800x600, try adjust monitor settings see if can picture normal again.

my monitor display got stretched @ both sides. when try set resolutin @ 800 x 600 display becomes half. if try set higher resolution though full display icons becomes smaller. please give me solution how set 800 x 600 resolution on monitor without problem?
